Here are the symptoms.ġ) I have installed Satero Serif LT Pro which comes with four weights: light, regular, medium, and bold.Ģ) Some applications such as FontBook, Character Viewer, FMPro, PopChar, and MS Word display all four weights in the application font menus as expected.ģ) Applications which use the standard OSX 10.6 Fonts Panel such as Pages, Mail and Text Edit display only three weights: light, regular, and medium with bold missing from the list.Ĥ) Although bold is not listed as an option for this font from within Pages, I can select and paste characters from the bold weight using Character Viewer and these characters are correctly inserted within Pages at the bold weight. I have also encountered the 'missing bold' issue with Adobe Caslon Pro within certain apps and have encountered the same issue with a non-Adobe font as well, Satero Serif LT Pro, which is produced by Linotype.
